SHOULD I

I fell
And hurt myself
The wounds have disappeared
But the scars
Remain

Leapt
Too high
On a mountain
Naked and blind
The rope snapped
The ladder broke

I clung
Desperately
To my Guide
Following me
Scratched her
Hurt her too.

Ventured
Far ahead
Untrained
Unskilled
Unmindful
And slipped

A climber
Should look up
Never down
I didn’t
Yet went down

Will I climb again ?
Should I ?
Will find out
From the adventurer
Who never gave up
Who knew how to climb
The right side
The right way
The right manner
Or

I move on
